Rho Ventures, a multi-stage venture capital firm, today announced the promotion of two veteran team members, Hugh Browne and Medha Vedaprakash, from associate to principal. Browne joined the firm in 2008 and is based in Palo Alto, Calif. Vedaprakash joined the firm's New York office in 2007.

have been key members of our team for several years. They bring a
tremendous amount of dedication and talent to the firm, the portfolio
companies they work with and the networks within their communities,"
said Mark Leschly, Rho Ventures managing partner.
Browne's
primary investment sectors include new media, mobile and information
technology. He joined Rho Ventures after spending five years at Morgan
Stanley, where he focused on various principal investing and operational
activities. Browne received his M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
Vedaprakash's
main focus areas include new media, mobile and information technology.
She joined Rho Ventures after several years of operating experience at
Siemens Communications, where she was responsible for designing and
leading the development of multiple products including the company's
voice over cable solution. Vedaprakash received her M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business.
